My Story
I, Chef Arlettle was Born and raised in the heart of Central Florida, my love for Southern cooking took root at the age of 8, when I first discovered the magic of the kitchen. The warm, comforting flavors of cornbread, smothered pork chops, and biscuits became part of my soul, shaping my journey into the chef I am today.
After graduating from the Art Institute of Tampa in 2014 with an associate's degree in Culinary Arts, I honed my craft in country clubs, hotels, restaurants, and even a hospital kitchen, but the real joy came from cooking at home for my two sons, Daunte' and Ja'shaun. They've been my biggest supporters from the very beginning and still enjoy my dishes to this day.
In 2022, I launched **Mz. Lett's Kitchen**, my catering and private chef business, bringing my greatest passion to life: cooking for people and sharing my love for Southern comfort food. Every recipe in this cookbook comes straight from my heart-seasoned with memories, tested with love, and meant to bring that same warmth and joy to your table.
